Description
You don’t have to look big and mighty for God to do great things through you.
Snuggle up with Grace and Rosie as Papa Rick shares a bedtime Bible adventure about Samson, Delilah, and the mysterious strength that amazed Samson’s enemies.
Samson could defeat a lion, break ropes, and carry enormous city gates. But where did his strength come from? And what happened when he began trusting himself instead of depending on God?
In Samson the Wimp: You Are Loved and Chosen By God, curious questions and warm family conversations help young listeners discover that appearances do not determine their worth—and other people’s opinions cannot take away God’s purpose for their lives.
As Delilah searches for Samson’s secret, his dangerous choices lead to difficult consequences. Yet even after his mistakes, Samson can still call out to God.
Created for adults to read aloud with children ages 3–8, this illustrated Bible story encourages children to:
• Remember that they are loved by God, even when they feel different.
• Recognize their abilities as gifts to use for God’s purposes.
• Seek God’s wisdom in their choices, words, and actions.
• Pray for help instead of relying only on themselves.
• Use their gifts to show kindness and help others know God.
Based primarily on Judges 16, with background from Judges 13–15, this imaginative retelling includes family dialogue, short passages, and a closing prayer. Samson’s difficult experiences and serious ending are addressed in simple language for adults and children to discuss together.
Share this 5-minute story at bedtime, during family devotions, in Sunday school, or on a visit with grandparents.
